Great day on the trail. A women challenged us to be Christ on the trail today. So 9 miles into the hike today we meet up with a couple and she slipped when we just saw her and was having problems. Her knee was giving out. Sue and Ryan went to her. I sat and rested and drank water I was tired. Anyway after eating lunch with her and her husband and two others Sue asked her if we could carry her stuff to the Shelter ahead 3.1 miles where they were trying to get to. So the 3 of us emptyed 25 lbs. From her pack and shared it. We hiked to the shelter with it but it was ALL up hill and the hardest section so far probably. We didn’t know when offering what we signed up for. It turned out to be a big witness to her husband, other hikers, and the people at the shelter when we arrived and filled up a large garbage of her stuff and asked them to watch it for her as we went on. It was my longest and hardest day on the trail 16 miles and 4800 ft. elevation gain. But a amazing day with Jesus and Sue and Ryan. We have hiked 85 miles in 6 days!! Only Sue has been every day on the trail—- that’s my Iron woman wife!!
